Julio Contreras Jr. | Associate
Julio Contreras, Jr. is a proud native of the Treasure Valley and an alumnus of Boise State University, where he earned his undergraduate degree. Born and raised in the area, Julio has witnessed firsthand the remarkable growth and changes that have shaped the Treasure Valley over the years. Despite these transformations, he firmly believes that the region remains a uniquely special place and has faith that its one-of-a-kind character will endure.
Julio earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho College of Law, where he served as Articles Editor for the Idaho Law Review. He was also a member of the College of Law’s Entrepreneurship Law Clinic, where he collaborated with entrepreneurs and small-business owners throughout Idaho. During his time at the clinic, Julio assisted clients with a wide array of matters, including advising on optimal business structures, drafting operating agreements and product warranties, and providing counsel on trademarks and filing trademark applications.
Bringing a diverse range of legal experience to the firm, Julio completed a summer clerkship with Ada County, where he assisted judges in drafting legal memorandums, court orders, and conducting legal research. This invaluable experience offered him insight into the inner workings of judges’ chambers and an understanding of judicial perspectives—an asset he brings to a firm specializing in litigation.
Additionally, Julio gained experience working for a City Attorney, where he worked on contract disputes, land use issues, conducted legal research, advised on municipal matters, and appeared in court to handle infractions and misdemeanor offenses.
In his free time, Julio enjoys working out, watching sports with friends, fishing and camping, and embarking on adventures and traveling with his girlfriend.
