John “Jamie” Maas V has been a valued member of the AJH team since July 2019, starting as the firm’s runner and manager of the firm’s electronic discovery software. 

He continued to work for the firm as a summer associate while earning his J.D. and officially joined the team of attorneys in September 2024. Jamie has an impressive range of legal experience, including presenting at the firm’s Annual Education Law Seminar, serving as intern for an appointed discovery master, and has demonstrated an acumen for appellate work at the federal and state levels.

Jamie earned his J.D. from the University of Idaho, where he served as Managing Editor of the Idaho Law Review. He was also a member of Idaho’s National Moot Court Team, which won the regional championship and the award for the best overall brief. Additionally, Jamie competed on the Bankruptcy Moot Court Team and was the Boise Champion in the McNichols Moot Court Competition. Before law school, Jamie attended Boise State University, where he captained the national champion “Talkin’ Broncos” Speech & Debate Team. 

During his tenure, the Broncos secured their fifth consecutive national title.

Outside of his legal practice, Jamie enjoys hiking, biking, and skiing across Idaho. He also loves spending time with his partner and their two munchkin kittens.
